until the late 1950s, the most prominent
and productive Holocaust scholar was the
Polish-born Jewish historian Philip
Friedman, who was considered to be an
authority in the field by research
institutes all over the world. By the
time of his death in early 1960 he had
published dozens of articles,
bibliographies, collections of
documents, and books."

Dawidowicz wrote in the New
York Times in Jan 1981:
"Philip Friedman has rightfully been
called the father of holocaust history."
He propagated the lie that 5,000,000+,
possibly up to 7,000,000 were murdered
at Auschwitz, further evidence it
weren't just the Soviets who accepted
the ridiculous death toll figures for
Auschwitz.
"This means that if we include 1941, the Oswiecim death factory swallowed up over 5,000,000 people, and according to some accounts 7,000,000. This figure is given for instance by Dr. Jacob Wolman of Lodz, Dr. Arthur Meyer, former Social Democratic Deputy to the German Reichstag, and by others who were prisoners at Oswiecim. Only a small number came out alive."
