Jewish background of the Turko-Saudi
Khashoggi clan
In the wake of the medi attention surrounding the 2018 murder
of the "Saudi dissident" Jamal Khashoggi in
the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul, Turkey, there is some
additional information on his heritage that should be noted.
On Jamal's super rich uncle, Saudi billionaire Adnan Khashoggi, Wikipedia (version
of august 2020) states solemnly that:
Khashoggi was born in Mecca, to Mohammad Khashoggi,
who was King Abdul Aziz Al Saud's personal doctor.[5]
His family is of Turkish origin, although Khashoggi himself also
said that he had a Jewish grandfather.[6]
As Wikipedia's reference footnote "6" is given an article
entitled
"Stepping Out", from the American paper
New York
Magazine, (18 December 1989, p. 44),
which we here reproduce:
With the reproduction of the interesting part blown up
here, and the specific quote further blown up below (first
passage top of right column):
In it one can read:
"[Adnan] Khashoggi has given only one interview - to
New York Post columnist Cindy Adams. In it, Khashoggi
declared his love for New York and his love for Jewish food and
even trotted out the startling fact that he has a Jewish
grandfather."
So this "Saudi" family/clan is in fact Turkish and -
according to its leading member even with a Jewish
heritage.
Always interesting from an Arab-Israeli-conflict stand of
view, as Judaism according to the Jews is nothing you can rid
yourself of; once a Jew always a Jew runs their axiom. "It is
impossible to leave Judaism, even if there's a conversion."
said for instance Rabbi Yitzhak Ohana, an official of Israel's
Chief Rabbinate (Washington Post, 13 February
1997).
It shold be noted that cousin to Jamal Khoshoggi
was non other than Dodi Fayed, the man who was
Princess Diana/Lady Di's boyfriend - from the Egyptian Fayed clan running the
Harrods department store in London - and who died with her in
that famous car crash in Paris in 1997.
Dodi Fayed's mother was Samira Khashoggi, sister of
Saudi businessman Adnan Khashoggi mentioned
above and thus, of Jewish ancestry, as well.
