Zionist Assassination Operations:

Zionist terrorist operations directed against Palestinians have not been restricted to the massacres which have taken place at the expense of the Palestinian people. Rather, the Zionist Mossad forces have pursued individuals within the occupied territories, throughout the Arab world, and beyond. What follows is a list of the Palestinian figures who have been assassinated by Zionist terrorist organs.

Ghassan Kanafani: a leading member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine who was killed in Beirut on July 8, 1972 in a car explosion.

Wa'il Adil Zu'aytir: a representative of the Fatah movement in Italy who was killed in Rome on October 17, 1972.

Dr. Mahmoud al-Hamshari: spokesman for the Palestinian cause in Europe and representative of the Palestinian Liberation Organization in Paris. On December 8, 1977 his home telephone exploded as a result of a time bomb planted inside it. He was seriously wounded and taken to hospital, and died on January 9, 1978.

Husayn Ali Abul-Khamir: a representative of the PLO in Cyprus who was assassinated in Cyprus on January 25, 1973.

Basil Ra'ouf al-Qaysi: a leading member of the Popular Front who was killed in Paris on April 6, 1973.

Husain Abbad al-Shir: A major liaison between the PLO and Russian intelligence agencies, who was killed in Cyprus in 1973.

Mahmoud Abu Diya: an Algerian citizen and a leader of the PLO who was assassinated in Paris on June 28, 1973.

Ahmad Boushiki: a Moroccan citizen who was assassinated by mistake, the intended victim being Hasan Salama, in Oslo (Norway) on July 21, 1973.

Kamal Nasir: having served as Public Relations official for the Fatah movement in 1969 and as a member of the executive council [of the PLO] and official spokesman for the same in 1970, he was killed in Beirut on April 10, 1974.

Kamal Udwan: the primary official behind operations within the occupied territories and a member of the central committee [of Fatah], he was assassinated on April 10, 1994.

Muhammad Yousif al-Najjar: a member of the central committee of Fatah and responsible for organizing "Black September" within the framework of Fatah's work, who was assassinated in Beirut on April 10, 1974.

Abu Husam: a Fatah leader who was killed in Beirut in 1974.

Mahmoud Walad Salih: a Palestinian leader who was killed in Paris on February 2, 1977.

Ibrahim Abd al-Aziz: a Fatah leader who was killed in Paris on December 15, 1979.

Samir Tuqan: a member of the PLO office in Cyprus who was killed in Cyprus on December 15, 1979.

Ali Hasan Salama: a member of the revolutionary council of the Fatah movement, leader of the "17" forces and head of the Presidential Security Apparatus, who was killed when his car exploded in Beirut in 1979.

Zuhair Muhsin: a leader of the "Lightning Bolt" organization and member of the executive committee of the PLO who was killed in Cannes, France on July 26, 1979.

Yousif Mubarak: owner of the Arab Bookstore in Paris who was killed on February 18, 1980.

Majid Abu Shirar: News and Information Coordinator and member of the central committee of the Fatah movement, who was killed in Rome on October 9, 1981.

Na'im Khadar: a PLO representative in Belgium who was killed in Brussels in 1981.

Dr. Abd al-Wahhab al-Kayali: a member of the PLO executive council and of the Palestine National Council, who was killed in Beirut on December 7, 1981.

Muhammad Taha: a security officer in the Fatah movement who was killed in Germany in 1982.

Kamal Hasan Abu Dalu: Vice-President of the PLO Office in Rome, who was killed in Rome on June 17, 1982.

Nazih Matar: killed with Kamal Abu Dalu.

Fadhl Sa'ad Anani: Vice-Director of the PLO Office in Paris, who was killed in Paris on July 23, 1982.

Ma'moun Muraish al-Seghyer: an assistant to Abu Jihad assigned to direct the External Operations Dept. of the Fatah movement, who was killed in Athens on August 20, 1983.

Jamil Abd al-Qadir Abul-Rabb: director of the Sea Navigation Company in Greece, who was killed in Athens on December 22, 1983.

Khalil al-Wazir (Abu Jihad): a prominent leader of the Fatah movement of the PLO, who was killed in Tunis in 1988.

Nasir Sulouha: an active member of the Hamas movement who was killed in Gaza on June 23, 1994.

Hani Abid: a leader of the Islamic Jihad movement who was killed in Khan Younis on November 2, 1994 when his booby-trapped car exploded.

Ibrahim Yaghi: a military official in the Hamas movement who was killed outside his home in Jericho on December 22, 1994.

Kamal Kuhail: a leader of the military apparatus of the Hamas movement who was killed in Gaza on April 2, 1995 as a result of a bomb planted in the apartment in which he was present.

Sa'id al-Da'as: killed with Kamal Kuhail.

Hatim Hasan: killed with Kamal Kuhail.

Bilal Sa'id al-Da'as: killed with Kamal Kuhail.

Mahmoud al-Khawaja: an activist in the Islamic Jihad movement who was killed in the Gaza Strip on June 22, 1995.

Ibrahim al-Naqqar: an activist in the military apparatus of the Islamic Jihad movement who was killed on September 12, 1995 when an explosive planted in his Gaza home exploded.

Fathi al-Shaqaqi: Secretary General of the Islamic Jihad movement, who was killed in Malta on October 26, 1995.

Yahya Ayyash: one of the most prominent military leaders of the Hamas movement, who was killed on January 3, 1996 in the Gaza Strip when his booby-trapped cellular telephone exploded.
