Intro - This is our tenth review of various ethnic media. Not only is this a window of pragmatic truth amongst J brethren, it shows a cornucopia of allegations and actual character code(s). This review is devoid of any personal opinion by this writer. Here, there is no hypocrisy or masquerade or disguises. By presenting several editions, modes of behavior and repertoire are not tarnished. As you enter this ethnic world leave your baggage, share and look at the group's real raison d'etre... Once again, I ask that you enjoy yourself and think positive.

The cover has a message with pictures of children near Israeli flags. Margot Benstock, Jewish Federation leader (and others) are asking for money. Accumulated capital assumably will be for helping 'Jews in North America, Israel, the former Soviet Union and other countries...' Page three has an 'analysis about Kenya' entering the war against terrorism. Other headlines here read: 'Bush speaks against terror' and 'White House Menorah Lit.' At the end of this page is a story about a 'Kosher Bakery Opening in Berlin.'

Page seven concerns various 'Judaic Studies.' We see the thoughts of a Missy Pardoll. MP graduated from local 'Jewish schools'; has 'a background in analysis and reasoning due to studying the Torah.' Ms. Pardoll is 'drawn to Jewish people'; would also send her children 'to Jewish schools'; knows that it's 'important for Jews to date Jews...'

Page nine has a full page ad pertaining to the local Holocaust Museum. There is a picture of a former heavyweight boxing champion of the world, Evander Holyfield. Evander will be a special guest at a $200-a-plate Holocaust dinner. This special event will be used for raising educational funds. Page ten has a swaggering ad pertaining to the significance of Israeli bonds. It also contains a picture of people building a huge sand Menorah on a Southern beach. Page thirteen appears to pertain to Jewish peoplehood and a cash mentality. One reads: 'I Chose to Earn 12.8 % and Help Israel 100 %.' Words emerge to display an escapade in fund raising.

I can correlate the character of this to a dark cafe setting in either Budapest or Warsaw's old town. It could have been in historical Sandomierz, I just don't remember. Anyways, it was in the 1970s. A debonair representative of Estee Lauder was emphasizing how his firm was transcontinental. He explained how a large percentage of the company's profits go to educational zionistic causes in Poland. This was done by utilizing propaganda about the founder's Krakowian heritage. Similar propaganda was used in Hungary and I think he said 'France and Germany.' I can still remember his dislike of Catholics, Arabs, 'Ivan, Frogs, and Jerrys' (the Russians, French, Germans). Recalling his critique could remind some of his group's media.

Turning pages, one sees an commentary by Rabbi Gabriel Ben-Or. He states that 'Hitler in the Nazi era made infamous the concept of the big lie.' The Rabbi informs his readership that 'It is a fact the establishment church of the Middle Ages aided and abetted the promulgation of falsehoods about the Jewish people...' He continues with his revelation that to some 'the average German was able to give vent to his feelings of rage upon a people that was generally already despised -even without explicit orders...' The Rabbi tells thousands that 'too many Germans, even against the orders of Himmler, at the end of the War, continued to torture Jews. This cultural context is being continued in our day. Like in Nazi Germany it is done in full public view for all the world to see...' The locally lionized Rabbi indicates that Arabs 'truly and honestly believe the absolute worst Nazi propaganda about Jewish character, ideas and Jewish influence in the world...'

Rabbi Ben-Or ends his article by stating that 'Jews have faith and courage to proceed...' He writes that Jews 'Never have enough funds, enough population, enough public sympathy...' This community hero ends his lengthy article with the following words: 'Let us emulate our ancestors, the Maccabees and proceed undaunted towards our goal of rekindling the Jewish spirit ...'
